Royal Air Maroc Cargo has operated a direct link between Casablanca and Los Angeles since June 2026. Three times a week in Boeing 787 Dreamliner, this route opens a direct connection between Africa and the West Coast of the United States and is part of Casablanca's air cargo hub development strategy.
Launched on 1 June, the Casablanca-Los Angeles route is operated three times a week with Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, which also carry cargo.
According to Royal Air Maroc Cargo, it is the first direct route operated by an African carrier between the continent and the American West Coast. This new service strengthens the company's presence in the North American market.
In particular, the road should allow the movement of handicrafts, textiles and perishable goods from Morocco and other African markets to the United States.
In the other direction, it can carry different types of high value goods, including industrial equipment. Los Angeles is also an important consumer market and a gateway to trans-Pacific trade.
This service is also part of the international network developed around Casablanca. Thanks to the already operated connection between Casablanca and Beijing, Royal Air Maroc Cargo can offer connections between Asia, Africa and the West Coast of the United States.
The flows concerned include e-products, e-commerce goods and various industrial products from China and other Asian markets
For Royal Air Maroc Cargo, the development of these routes is based on the connecting role of Mohammed V airport in Casablanca.
The combination of roads to Africa, North America and Asia is expected to broaden the transit and transport possibilities for shippers in markets where direct connections between Africa and the US West Coast remain limited.
