The founding president of Women in Logistics-Africa (WILA), Christiane Ohin-Traoré, was selected to integrate the Obama Foundation's Leaders Africa Programme for Promotion 2026-2027. It is one of the 35 participants selected for this regional programme, which this year brings together profiles from 25 African countries.

The selection announced in September is part of a professional logistics and supply chain career. Christiane Ohin-Traoré has worked for Africa Global Logistics and for AP Moller-Maersk.

She then founded WILA, an organization dedicated to professional development and the promotion of women's leadership in the logistics and supply chain sectors in Africa.

Created to support women in the sector, WILA is now present in 21 African countries and claims a network of more than 1,000 women.

The organisation also reported that it had accompanied 70 young people through mentoring programmes, with a professional integration rate of 86% among beneficiaries. Christiane Ohin-Traoré's main focus is on women's rights and gender equality.

The Leaders Africa program spans eight months, including weekly virtual sessions, exchanges between participants and meetings with mentors and members of the Obama Foundation network.

Launched in 2018, the programme brings together professionals working in various fields, including health, clean energy, entrepreneurship, economic inclusion and governance. In 2025, Christiane Ohin-Traoré received the National Award of Excellence for the Development of Women's Skills in Côte d'Ivoire.
