Conakry Terminal announced the appointment of Édouard Léno as Director General. He succeeded Emmanuel Masson, who managed the container terminal of the Autonomous Port of Conakry for more than five years. The transition between the two leaders was marked by a ceremony involving collaborators, partners and clients.
After more than five years at the head of Conakry Terminal, Emmanuel Masson officially passed the relay to Édouard Léno. A ceremony held on 11 August 2026 in Conakry brought together employees, partners, customers and several actors related to terminal activities.
On that occasion, the Director General of AGL Guinea, Ibrahima Diallo, paid tribute to Emmanuel Masson's work during his tenure. It has been marked by the development of the terminal's activities and the conduct of several projects related to its operations and infrastructure.
The new Director General, Édouard Léno, thus takes over the orders of Conakry Terminal in a context of continuation of the projects of modernization and development of the capabilities of the terminal.
Based on a 14-year experience in the AGL group, with passages in Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Congo and Senegal, he recently indicated that he wanted to register his arrival in an approach to listen to the various actors of the harbour ecosystem.
During a meeting with Guinean media on 20 August 2026, Édouard Léno also presented an ambition for the terminal: to reach about a million containers processed by 2029.
He also announced that he would like to strengthen the dialogue with partners, collaborators and the media to support the activities and development prospects of Conakry Terminal.
